Preschool Program

2.5 years to 5 years

Our preschool program is designed to support your 2.5-year-old to 5-year-old child’s development as they prepare to enter elementary school. With the principles of social emotional learning, we’ll help your child develop a strong sense of self and a strong sense of place in their community. Your children will learn how to set boundaries and how to show kindness.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

We believe in experiential learning which is why your child will engage in a variety of activities including food preparation, science experiments, and building. The children participate in taking care of the classroom through activities such as wiping tables and watering plants.

Our spacious natural playground is built for imagination and collaboration. We embrace going outdoors in all seasons and encouraging children to run, dig, climb, jump, collaborate, and build.

SCHOOL READINESS

Our learning environment is rich with exposure to reading, writing, mathematic concepts, cultural awareness, and scientific exploration. We will introduce your child to phonics, pencil use, counting, measuring, calendars, simple machines, science experiences, and early writing for older children. Your child will have the social and academic skills needed to thrive in elementary school!

SOCIAL CONFIDENCE

Feeling socially confident is key to a successful life. Our classrooms are safe, loving places for children to explore their own identities and their relationships with others. Children are encouraged to explore imaginative play and share their family culture with their peers. We will read books representing all types of family structures, religions, ethnicities, traditions, genders, and locations.

We support the children in developing a strong sense of personal worth that includes the ability to respectfully set boundaries with others. Teachers model simple, effective language the children can use as they practice.
